I’ve been dancing since I was 3 and spent 7 of those years at bdc. Dance has impacted my life in many ways, this including finding new ways to express myself through movement, as well as gaining new levels of confidence. From the every day joy dance has brought, it has taught me many skills that can’t just be taught outside of the studio. I am currently studying Creative Industries at Ryerson while dancing with many incredible people in the Toronto dance community.

I danced for 8 years at BDC! Dance impacted my life by teaching me time management, organization and I made many life long friends. I learned what being part of a team was, and what commitment meant. I cherish the memories I made at dance, there was so many good times! I now am entering my last semester of nursing school and will be a registered nurse in the upcoming months!

I started dancing at BDC and I stayed for six years, until the end of high school. Dance has impacted my life in a lot of ways. Most notably, it taught me a lot about friendship and teamwork. You have to trust and rely on the people you dance with in order to succeed, you can’t do it alone. Currently, I’m in Ottawa working towards a Bachelor of Communications at Carleton University.

I was a competitive dancer for 12 years. Dance has impacted my life by giving me opportunities to meet amazing individuals who are family to me now. I am going to Western University, wanting to pursue a double major in criminology and thanatology, hoping to go into the Policing after.

I danced for 10 years. Dance impacted my life in a way that I met so many amazing people who I still keep in touch with today. It allowed me to grow as a person and the traits I developed during competitive dance from balancing school, family, and friends has honestly made me so much more of a successful person today! I’m currently in my third year at Queen’s University studying a Bachelor of Science Honours in Kinesiology!

I started dancing when I was two and a half but danced with BDC for 6 years until I was 18. Dance impacted my life because it taught me how to work hard, showed me what true friendships looked like & some of the most influential people in my life were dance teachers and I truly don’t think I would be the person I am today if it weren’t for dance and all the amazing people. I am currently in my last semester of my nursing degree, in the next couple months I am hoping to be a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse and I am also running my own business creating earrings!
