Alexis Burling

Alexis is an emerging choreographer and performer. She is a graduate from York University, where she achieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, in the choreography and performance stream. 

Alexis has studied numerous forms of dance including contemporary, modern, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and acro. She has furthered her technique and artistry under the guidance of Hannes Langolf, Tracey Norman, Helen Jones, John Ottman, Freya Björg Olafson and Julia Sasso. 

She has taught contemporary, and jazz dance workshops at numerous high schools. And in 2018 she created a piece entitled, Human for the Huron Heights dance ensemble. Her latest accomplishment was putting together her first full-length show entitled ‘2:14 AM’, which premiered at the Winchester street theatre, on February 23rd, 2019. 

Alexis plans to pursue a professional career in performance and choreography.
